Meet our Master Tutors

Giulia Benic

Simply put, teaching is Giulia’s favourite activity. She knew from a young age that helping others would be her life’s calling, but it wasn’t until later she realized she would achieve it through teaching. In completing a bachelor’s in Biochemistry at McGill University, and a master’s degree in Genetics at the University of Toronto, she found her passion in understanding how the world works around her. She is one year away from receiving a Master of Teaching from the University of Toronto, which has only solidified her love of teaching. She believes that classes like chemistry and biology shouldn’t be viewed as difficult, and that every student is capable of success.

Solomon Segal

The moments when students complete a problem they were stuck on and say to themselves “it was that easy?” are the moments that Solomon lives for. Specializing in math and physics, Solomon completed a master’s degree in Astrophysics at York University and is one year away from receiving a Master of Teaching from the University of Toronto. Through supply and student teaching, he has taught all grades from K-12. He has in-depth understanding of curriculum requirements and knows exactly what students need to focus on to ace their assessments. As a tutor, he approaches each lesson by identifying the strengths, capabilities, and learning style of each student, and works to develop confidence accordingly. He believes open communication with parents is paramount in student success and provides updates for all his lessons.
